Parking at Newcastle

A new drop off and pick up car park facility is soon to be created for private cars and taxis who want to drop off or collect passengers at the airport. After the changes are made, private cars will not be permitted to drive past the front of the terminal building because access will be restricted. This will lead to improved safety for pedestrians in this area, enhanced security and reduced congestion for all. Right now, the car park facilities at Newcastle are monitored 24 hours a day. The parking facilities are around 5 minutes from terminals or on the terminal; also, a courtesy shuttle runs 24 hours a day on demand.

Available with this foreign currency exchange service is a full travel agency, situated opposite WH Smith between the international and domestic arrivals areas. Those with special needs are well provided for here. You can utilize wheelchairs within the terminal; they also offer specialist vehicles to allow for easy access to aircraft. The entrance to the main terminal building has revolving entrance doors that go on slow mode for wheelchair users. An induction loop system also operates in certain sections of the terminal building. Disabled toilets that have an alarm button and radar key facilities can be obtained from the Information Desk on the ground floor. A Minicom telephone is located at the Information Desk, while a pay text-phone can be found on the main concourse opposite the Information Desk.
